Summer Pinterest recipes

Summer is here, and that means it's time to focus on fresh produce and picnic foods that can be enjoyed at the beach, at the park, or while relaxing in the comfort of your air-conditioned living room.

Watermelon is in season, and it livens up everything from cocktails to desserts. Potato salad, foil packet meals on the grill and easy-to-assemble tartines are all we want to eat when the weather gets hot. They're easy to share, too, at picnics, potlucks and barbecues.

And you can't forget ice cream, especially when made from scratch. Nothing's better after a day at the pool (or sitting in the basement in your underwear trying to avoid the heat).

When it comes to trying a new dish, I always feel better knowing it's tried and tested. Ingredients aren't cheap, so I don't want a meal I make to go to waste. According to Pinterest, these are the recipes everyone's been making and sharing this summer. Why not give them a try?
