From store-bought to stunning

Take that boring ol' grocery store ketchup to a new level. With just a few ingredients, you can give a new life to the condiments' table. Grab some plain squeeze bottles and print your own labels for a professional-looking touch.

Ketchup

Ketchup will always remind me of childhood picnics and the goodness of french fries, but adding some adult ingredients brings that bottle of store-bought stuff to a fun and unexpected level.

1

Chipotle ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo

Directions:

  1. Place ketchup and chipotle in a small food processor, blend until smooth.
2

Roasted garlic ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups ketchup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Cut the top tip off of the head garlic, just enough to expose all of the cloves. Place the head of garlic on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil and seal the foil around the garlic. Place garlic packet on a baking sheet or baking dish. Roast in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  3. Place ketchup in a food processor, squeeze the garlic head until the soft cloves protrude. Add cloves to the food processor, discard head.
  4. Process until smooth.
3

Sriracha ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 2 cups ketchup

Directions:

  1. Stir Sriracha and ketchup together until well combined
4

Teriyaki ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce

Directions:

  1. Stir together ketchup and teriyaki until smooth.
5

Curry ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 2 cups ketchup

Directions:

  1. Stir together 1 tablespoon curry powder into ketchup. Taste, add additional curry powder for more curry taste.
