Skip that greasy morning meal of bacon and eggs and choose a light but satisfying smoothie instead, full of delicious flavors.

Mango, cinnamon and basil smoothie recipe

Yields 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole mango, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups almond milk or regular milk
  • 2 tablespoons old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2-4 fresh basil leaves
  • Honey (if needed)

Directions:

  1. Grind the oats to an almost powdery consistency in your blender.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Add honey as desired to sweeten smoothie. If smoothie is too thick, add more milk.
