We all love the hot and salty crunch of fried food. Desserts are also quite a sweet delight. Fuse these two culinary delights in your own kitchen.

Deep-fried desserts

Ingredients:

  • Any of your favorite desserts
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • Canola oil
  • Cream or milk
  • Cake batter

Step 1

Prepare your ingredients by freezing them. Some possible desserts could be cupcakes or cake pops.

If you choose to use a larger dessert, such as a slice of cheesecake, freeze it and cut it into more manageable pieces.

Set up your batter and breading. Mix milk or cream with cake batter. Pour Panko bread crumbs into a bowl.

Once your dessert is firm, dip it into the batter and sprinkle bread crumbs over it.

Place breaded dessert back into the freezer.

Heat oil to 350 degrees F, or until a piece of bread fries and no longer sinks to the bottom.

Fry, one at a time, until golden brown. Place dessert on a rack or paper towels after frying.
