Rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese combine to make the perfect appetizer for your next party!

Reuben Appetizer Sandwich

Nothing is better than throwing a party and having everyone rave about your food. This is one of those dishes that will have your guests talking for weeks! Typically Reubens are seen as messy deli sandwiches, but not this time. These miniature open-faced sandwiches are packed full of flavor and can easily be made ahead of time, then warmed just before serving. It's the perfect appetizer for your holiday party!

Reuben appetizer sandwiches

Serving size 8

Ingredients:

  • 4 large slices marble rye bread (cut in half to make 8 pieces)
  • Russian dressing
  • 1/2 pound corned beef
  • 1/2 cup sauerkraut
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

Directions:

  1. Add 2 teaspoons of Russian dressing to each slice of bread.
  2. Top with corned beef, then the sauerkraut, and then the Swiss cheese.
  3. Place the sandwiches under the broiler just long enough to heat the sandwiches through and to melt the cheese. Serve to your guests with a smile.
