
Shredded beef sandwiches
This is an easy meal you can prepare in your slow cooker. The shredded beef can be used for sandwiches, tacos and burritos.
Ingredients:
- 1 (2 pound) beef brisket
- 10 ounces condensed beef broth
- Salt and black pepper
- Bread, biscuits or hamburger buns
Directions:
- Place beef and broth in slow cooker; salt and pepper lightly and cook on low setting for 8 hours.
- Remove beef and shred with two forks.
- Prepare sandwiches.
Baked chicken and cheese ravioli
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese ravioli
- 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into chunks
- 1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Boil ravioli until tender.
- Cut chicken into chunks.
- Cook chicken in skillet, stirring often. Add spaghetti sauce to cooked chicken.
- Spread cooked ravioli in bottom of a 9-inch glass baking dish and cover with chicken/sauce mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Uncover and sprinkle on Parmesan cheese. Let bake 5 to 10 minutes until melted.
Garlic chicken and biscuits
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 envelope herb and garlic soup mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
Directions:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Brown chicken in skillet.
- Add milk and soup mix to chicken; stir well. Bring to a boil.
- Pour chicken mixture into 2-quart casserole dish.
- Place refrigerator biscuits on top of chicken mixture, covering completely.
- Bake 8 to 12 minutes -- however long it takes the biscuits to become a deep golden brown.
Sloppy joe biscuits
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large can Sloppy Joe mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In large skillet, brown hamburger meat and drain.
- Add Sloppy Joe mix to hamburger and heat through.
- Separate biscuits from one can into thin layers of dough and line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with the biscuits.
- Pour Sloppy Joe and hamburger mixture onto biscuits. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Open other can of biscuits and line them up on top.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
