Starbucks introduced it's new coffee size Monday – the Starbucks Intravenous Drip. Now you can put the caffeine into your body directly without all of the annoying sipping and drinking.
OK, we're kidding – Starbucks did introduce a new size Monday, and while it's big, it's not an IV drip.
The 31-ounce Trenta will go on sale in February and will be available for iced coffee, iced tea lemonade and Tazo shaken iced tea. The size will cost about 50 cents more than the Venti size and will be available in 14 states on Jan. 18 and California on Feb. 3. The remaining 35 states will have to wait until May to get their super-sized Starbucks drink.
According to Starbucks spokeswoman May Kulthol, the new Trenta size has been in development for about a year and is the response to customer and employee suggestions.
The good news? Kulthol says the new Trenta-sized Starbucks thirst-quenchers will only be around 90 calories if unsweetened and 230 if sweetened. No word on sugar content, though.
