Gluten-free snack foods

The rising rate of kids with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease has led many parents to rely solely on products labeled gluten-free. However, many snacks foods are naturally gluten-free and may be included in your child's diet without causing any harm.

In addition to snack foods labeled gluten-free, try:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Raisins and currants
  • Air popped popcorn (and most microwave varieties)
  • Cheese
  • Yogurt
  • Rice cakes
  • Corn tortillas
  • Pudding and gelatin cups
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Edamame
  • Hard boiled eggs

Don't ForgetAlways read the labels of packaged products to make sure the ingredients list is free of items containing gluten.
