Beef Kabob

Kabobs

These fun finger foods range from appetizers to entrees to desserts. Here's one of each:

Appetizer kabobs

Ingredients:

  • small cocktail wieners
  • pineapple chunks, drained
  • small green olives
  • cheese cubes
  • small bamboo skewers

Directions:

Place one wiener, pineapple, olive and cheese cube on each skewer. Refrigerate until serving time. Tip: Use firm, not soft, cheese. Substitute pickles for olives or mandarin oranges for pineapple.

EntrEe kabobs

Ingredients:

  • 1 kielbasa, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • onions, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • green peppers, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • bamboo skewers

Directions:

Soak the skewers in water for a few hours. While grill is heating to medium-low, skewer the meat and vegetables — onion, kielbasa, pepper, onion, kielbasa, pepper, repeat — until half the skewer is full. Place the kabobs on the grill, turning every few minutes until kabob is nicely browned. Arrange on platter and serve. Tip: Add other veggies like cherry tomatoes or mushrooms. Substitute beef tips for kielbasa.

Dessert kabobs

Ingredients:

  • strawberries
  • donut holes
  • chocolate sauce
  • bamboo skewers

Directions:

Skewer strawberries and donut holes, alternating each. Refrigerate for one hour and serve with chocolate sauce. Tip: Substitute pound cake for donut holes. Add blueberries or marshmallows. Serve with a dollop of whipped topping.
