Grown-Up Ham & Cheese
Makes 2 sandwiches
5 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
2 (6- to 7-inch) French baguettes, cut open lengthwise
1-1/2 pounds thinly sliced ham (leftover or lunchmeat)
6 to 8 slices Brie or Camembert
1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
Mix butter with mustard, nutmeg, pepper and thyme. Spread butter mixture onto both sides of the bread. Top with a few slices of ham, cheese and cucumber.
