Cinnamon Apple Drop Cookies

Kids love cookies (and moms do too)! If you are tired of making the same old chocolate chip cookies, mix it up by mixing up a batch of cinnamon apple drop cookies instead. This recipe has been in my family for years and these cookies are delicious!

Baking CookiesIngredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 cups apples (chopped)
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup apple juice or cider

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Sift flour, soda, salt and spices into a medium bowl.
  3. Stir in walnuts, apples and raisins.
  4. Cream butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add egg and apple juice.
  6. Slowly add flour mixture while continuing to mix. Mix well.
  7. Cover and refrigerate dough 2 hours.
  8. Grease cookie sheet.
  9. Drop tablespoons of dough about 2" apart onto sheet.
  10. Bake 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
