It only took 72 hours since the passing of her tenant and friend to prompt Mary-Kate Olsen to say anything on the topic of the tragic death of Heath Ledger.
Olsen released a statement to the AP today that was neither insightful nor illuminating in any way. "Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss," she said. "My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time." Not that she would be expected of anything less than the playbook response that was released. But, considering there are so many questions concerning the death of a 28 year-old man in his prime, any additional light would have been appreciated by those who respected him. As SheKnows previously reported, it was Olsen who received the first phone calls after Ledger was discovered. Many calls were made to the owner of the loft Ledger was renting before emergency personnel were called. Police have said they have no interest in speaking with Olsen concerning Ledger's death.
Onlookers visit the Heath Ledger SoHo apartment he was renting from Mary-Kate Olsen, leaving well-wishes. Points and Prizes Keyword: PHONE worth 25 points good through 02/03/08. |
