This recipe is a variation of peanut butter kiss cookies, but the kiss is on the inside of the cookie instead of the outside. Everyone loves the surprise inside!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 48 chocolate kisses

Directions 1. Preheat to 375 degrees F. 2. Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in eggs. 3. In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir into batter. 4. Take a piece of dough -- about an inch all around -- and flatten like a pancake. Place a kiss on the center of the dough, close and seal up the sides, roll into a ball and put on baking sheets about two inches apart. 5. Bake for about 10 minutes or until cookies start to turn brown. Note: We experiment with the different flavor kisses too. For instance, there are caramel kisses, peanut butter kisses, truffle kisses and more. If it goes with peanut butter, it'll work!
