Kate Middleton Loves Making This Homemade Meal With George & Charlotte

Sure, most of their meals are made by chefs, but Kate Middleton still prefers to make this dish with her kids

The royal family: They're just like the rest of us! OK, that's a stretch. But at a recent appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge, otherwise known as Kate Middleton, did reveal she has a go-to meal for her two little ones, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And, no, it's not some fancy-schmancy recipe we commoners can't get behind.

While helping prepare food at St. Luke's Community Centre for the Commonwealth Big Lunch event in London on March 22, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge said her kids' favorite dish is homemade pizza — and what's more fun than gathering the kids to make some ‘za from scratch?

"I've done that with George and Charlotte — making pizza dough," she told one of the members at the event. "They love it because they can get their hands messy."

While her nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo might be hands-off during pizza-making time with the royal kids, she has been busy teaching them some Spanish. According to Hello!, George can count up to 10 in Spanish, while Charlotte has also picked up a few words. When a member at the event asked if Kate can speak Spanish, she laughed and said, "Sadly, no."

Since the event, the royal family has kept themselves busy. They were recently spotted spending Easter at St. George's Chapel in Windsor on Sunday — but they accidentally broke protocol in the process. Thanks to pesky traffic, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived after the queen, which, according to Hello!'s correspondent, the senior royal family member (the queen) should be the one to arrive last to any event. Welp.

Leading up to the church service, the family spent Easter weekend with Kate's parents at their home in Bucklebury.
