Check your fridge now for these three recalled Trader Joe's applesauce varieties

The latest Trader Joe's recall is like something out of a horror movie. The health food giant is recalling three different varieties of applesauce because they may contain broken glass. Kinda terrifying, especially because applesauce is something so many babies and kids eat! Yikes. Granted, the glass probably made its way into the applesauce in the factory where the jars are filled during an assembly line accident, but it still gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Luckily, Trader Joe's already removed the products that may contain glass from shelves, but if you have a jar of the following three products in your fridge or pantry, get rid of them now:

  • Trader Joe's First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce, Barcode #00015905, Best Before Aug. 8, 2018
  • Trader Joe's Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Barcode# 00194877, Best Before Oct. 6, 2018
  • Trader Joe's All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce, Barcode #00014359, Best Before Dec. 16, 2018

You can also bring any of the recalled products to your nearest Trader Joe's for a full refund or contact the company at 629-599-3817 for more information.

In the meantime, maybe you can try making your own applesauce, no glass shards needed.
