Listeria strikes again, and this time it's come for your breakfast

Welp, I fed my son a waffle this morning only to find out there's a massive waffle recall in effect. Kellogg is recalling 10,000 cases of its Eggo waffles in 25 states due to possible listeria contamination.

This isn't the company's first recall this year: Big ol' Kellogg recall could send you running for your kids' lunchboxes.

This is specifically for its Nutri-grain whole-wheat waffles. No other products are involved in the recall at this time, and no waffle-related illnesses have been reported so far. The recall was issued following routine testing.

The states involved in the recall are scattered throughout the continental U.S., so to find out if your state is involved and for details on the UPC code and best-by date, please see Kellogg's recall notice online. For questions, call 1-800-962-1413, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET.

The good news is, I buy a different brand of waffles (Van's). The bad news is, most people go with the Eggo, so check your freezers.
