The hot new pressure cooker you didn't know you need is going for cheap today

You're going to think I'm obsessed, and I'm not, really, but I think everyone should have an Instant Pot electric cooker. Not only does it make pressure cooking way easier and safer (and less scary) than the stovetop versions from you mom's generation, but it doubles as a slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker — hell, I've used mine to make risotto in about 10 minutes flat, start to finish. Respectable risotto, my people — creamy yet ever so slightly al dente.

I was lucky enough to get mine for free from a kind colleague who got an extra as a wedding present, and I will be forever grateful. But I already had it on my wish list and was ready to shell out over $100 dollars on it. Well guess what! We're not giving away Instant Pots today. Sorry. Almost as exciting, though: Amazon just put the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 6-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker on sale for 70 bucks, the lowest price ever. Now you have to buy one, right?

Yes, you do, because we've been feeding you tips on using pressure cookers, and we're coming out with more and more in the coming months. Seriously, I keep saying this, but this baby is coming for your slow cooker. Once you've made risotto in 10 minutes, there's no turning back.
