Restaurants are thanking America's military on Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend is a great time to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. What better way to show appreciation than with a good meal? If you’re an active duty military service member or a veteran, you can find special Memorial Day discounts at these participating restaurants. Keep in mind you may have to show military ID or present a coupon to take advantage of the deals.

Military personnel can enjoy a free meal from the Hooters Memorial Day menu on May 30, 2016. Show your military ID at the restaurant. You can choose from the following delicious entrées on its special menu:

  • Buffalo chicken salad

  • Buffalo chicken sandwich

  • Hooters burger

  • 10-piece traditional wings

  • 10-piece boneless wings

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks

Have a free dine-in lunch or dinner entrée at McCormick & Schmick’s on May 30, 2016, if you are active duty military, a reservist, a retiree or a veteran. Bring your military ID or Veterans Organization Card (American Legion or VFW). Make sure you contact your local restaurant for details. Offers vary by location.

Active duty service members and veterans can order a complimentary All-American Burger and fries at Shoney’s on May 30, 2016. The deal is for dine-in only, and you will need to show military ID. Sign up for the offer at One meal per service member is allowed.

Boston Market

Get 25 percent off any family meal on May 30, 2016, using Boston Market's coupon. The deal is good at any participating Boston Market restaurant but cannot be applied to online orders. Remember to show the coupon when ordering.

Hickory Tavern

Sports pub Hickory Tavern is offering a free dine-in meal to active duty military and veterans on May 30, 2016. The deal is good for the entire day, limited to one meal per person, with military ID. Contact your preferred location with any questions.
