Easy, no-bake energy balls give you a healthy boost when you need it

I'm always on the run and always forgetting to eat. I like to get up and run errands right away, so sometimes I forget to slow down and take the time to actually eat breakfast. Other times I'm rushing around and just need a quick little snack. That's where these little energy bites come in.

They are perfectly sweet and packed full of ingredients that are sure to please. Plus they're healthy, so you won't feel guilty for wanting to eat one... two... or even three.

First up is cranberry-white chocolate chip — the perfect balance of nuts and oats, with just a little hint of sweet white chocolate and dried cranberries.

Cranberry-white chocolate chip energy ball recipe

Yields 10

Total time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons mini white chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. To a food processor, add the dates, oats, walnuts, chia seeds, honey and apple pie spice. Mix together until the mixture is finely ground and can hold a ball form.
  2. Stir in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  3. Roll into tight balls.

Cinnamon raisin never tasted so good! These energy ball bites are perfect for snacking.

Cinnamon-raisin chip energy ball recipe

Yields 10

Total time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons chopped raisins or currants

Directions:

  1. To a food processor, add the dates, oats, walnuts, chia seeds, honey and cinnamon. Mix together until the mixture is finely ground and can hold a ball form.
  2. Stir in the raisins or currants.
  3. Roll into tight balls.

We all love bananas and dark chocolate, and now they are together in a delicious no-bake energy bite.

Banana-dark chocolate chip energy ball recipe

Yields 10

Total time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried banana chips
  • 2 tablespoons mini dark chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. To a food processor, add the dates, oats, walnuts, chia seeds and honey. Mix together until the mixture is finely ground and can hold a ball form.
  2. Stir in the dried banana chips and dark chocolate chips.
  3. Roll into tight balls.
