Banana bars slathered in peanut butter frosting are a stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth treat
This treat is quite a combo: chocolate, banana and a sweet peanut butter frosting. You couldn't ask for a better pairing that both kids and adults alike will love.
If I had to decide on the best part about this treat, I wouldn't be able to. I love every bit of these tasty bars.

Chocolate chip banana bars with peanut butter frosting recipe
1/2 cup powdered sugar (a bit more if you prefer the frosting thicker)
Directions:
For the bars
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with the nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk to combine.
In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, eggs, applesauce and sugars. Mix well to combine.
A little at a time, add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, and stir until thoroughly combined.
Add the chocolate chips to the mixture. Transfer the batter to the baking pan.
Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool completely (about 45 minutes) before slicing into bars and frosting.
For the frosting
Mix together the yogurt, peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. If you like your frosting on the thicker side, add a bit more powdered sugar. Stir to combine.
