I'm not a huge morning person. Usually I wake up hoping the breakfast fairies have come into my kitchen and magically made me a meal. Unfortunately that has never happened, so I'm forced to make myself breakfast.

That's where this awesome protein shake comes into play. You can make it in just about 5 minutes and take it with you on your way to work. Or you could make it, crawl back into bed and sip away until you're forced to get up and go to work.

Breakfast chocolate-coffee protein shake recipe

Fill your breakfast shake with protein and a little caffeine. This is the best way to start the day.

Serves 1

Total time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder

Directions:

  1. To a blender, add all the ingredients, and blend until thick and creamy in texture.
