Dust off your cow costume — it'll score you a free Chick-fil-A meal today

Today, July 14, is not only Bastille Day, it’s Cow Appreciation Day, which means that if you go to Chick-fil-A dressed as a cow, you'll get a free meal.

If you don't happen to have a full cow costume at the ready, you can also just accessorize as a cow, but that won't get you a free meal. That limited effort will score you a free entrée.

Allow Chick-fil-A to answer all your partial vs. full cow attire questions:

"'Fully dressed as a cow' means effort to be dressed like a cow from head to toe. 'Partial cow attire' means just a cow accessory, such as a cow-printed hat, vest or purse. People dressed in partial attire will be awarded an entrée vs. a full Meal."

"Customers who arrive with 'partial cow attire' will receive one free Entrée. 'Partial cow attire' means just a cow accessory, such as a cow-printed hat, vest or purse. Decision is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator."

They are also kind enough to offer plenty of suggestions to get you started on and to upgrade your cow costume.

If you ask me, the better idea might just be to go camp out at a Chick-fil-A to witness the glory that is people doing silly stuff for free food.

I guess it all comes down to how badly you want that free meal...
