Everyone loves a good lasagna. And fried food? Uh, duh.

So when you combine the saucy, cheesy goodness of lasagna with crunchy fried goodness, you have a bona fide hit on your hands.

That's what food blogger Peep My Eats discovered when he decided to switch things up in the kitchen. Starting with your classic lasagna roll-ups stuffed with meat, cheese and sauce, he then dunked them into an egg mixture, coated them with panko breadcrumbs and fried them up until golden and crispy.

The end product is truly a wonder to behold — toothsome pasta, melted cheese and warm sauce surrounded by toasty, golden panko crumbs and topped with grated Parmesan.

It's the stuff Italian comfort food dreams are made of, a low-carb dieter's Achilles' heel. Basically you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't make them for yourself ASAP.
