This classic bourbon old-fashioned is sophisticated & easy to make

Even if you're not a huge fan of bourbon, you're going to totally dig sipping on an old-fashioned. The classic cocktail is smooth and fruity, but not over-the-top sweet. Plus, you just look super-cool and retro when you're drinking it.

Seriously, put on a snappy outfit, whip up an old-fashioned, and you'll instantly look like you just stepped straight off the set of Mad Men.

Bourbon is an in-your-face kind of spirit, but in a really good way once you decide you like it. It's not like vodka, where the taste disappears into whatever mixer you add in. If you're looking for a cosmo or a lemon drop kind of experience, run the opposite direction of bourbon.
