Make your smoothie a complete meal, I always make sure there is enough protein in all my smoothies. For my protein source I used one cup of Dairy Pure 2 percent reduced fat milk. It has 10 grams of protein in each cup and the bonus is you don't have to worry about artificial growth hormones.
Right before I took my twin daughters for a morning swim, I made them this delicious berry smoothie full of nutrients to give them fuel for their Sunday fun day. If you buy your flaxseed whole, please remember to grind them in a food processor or coffee grinder prior to blending. Eating flaxseed whole will not release its nutrients because its rough exterior will not break down during digestion.
