Your favorite fast-food chain may soon be bringing the Egg McMuffin all day long

Breakfast lovers, rejoice! If you've been dreaming about having your Egg McMuffins at 8 a.m. and then again for your midafternoon snack, your dreams may soon become a reality.

Reports are beginning to surface that McDonald's is planning to test an all-day breakfast menu in the next few months, according to CNBC. In a note released earlier today, Janney Capital Markets revealed that its "industry sources inform us that McDonald's US plans to test all-day breakfast — breakfast items for sale throughout the 24-hour day — in one domestic market, with the test set to begin within the next month or two."

McDonald's breakfast lovers all over the U.S. can now rejoice that the fast-food giant may soon be bringing you all the Sausage McMuffins, Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, hash browns and breakfast burritos you can handle.

And if you're someone who has yet to jump on the breakfast-for-dinner trend, well, what are you waiting for? McD's might soon be your best best for hotcakes with a side of Chicken McNuggets and Filet-O-Fish.

UPDATE: McDonald's fans in Southern California are in for a 24-hour breakfast treat. Business Insider reports that the tests will begin next month at several locations in San Diego.
