With that in mind, we're sharing some of our current go-to recipes for spring-ready blended beverages.

Mega-berry blaster

A bevy of berries just screams spring to us, so why not enjoy the taste and health benefits of your favourite berries in a glass? Try this refreshing blend after a workout.

Serving size 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 cup mixed frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries)
  • 1 cup milk of your choice

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to your blender, and puree until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.

Tropical orange twist

Nothing welcomes warmer weather like the punch of the tropical-inspired flavour from oranges and pineapples. Enjoy this satisfying smoothie in lieu of a heavier dessert.

Serving size 2

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 5–6 pieces frozen pineapple (either cut and freeze your own, or buy a bag in the frozen foods aisle of your grocery store)
  • 1 cup vanilla yogourt
  • 3–4 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to your blender, and puree until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.

Post-winter wake-up call

Coming out of winter hibernation mode can be tough no matter how excited you are for the arrival of spring. Shake off the last of the winter blues with the help of this caffeinated smoothie, perfect for busy spring mornings. Watch out; it's addictive!

Serving size 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana (preferably frozen)
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 shot of espresso (or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee)
  • Ice (if desired)

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to your blender, and puree until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.
