Eating healthily while on the go can be challenging. That's where healthy homemade trail mixes save the day. Read on for some quick and easy trail mixes that will fill you up no matter how busy your day gets.

Trail Mix

Health nut mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 dried apricots, halved

Note: You can sub in other nuts, seeds and berries, such as walnuts, pecans or dried currants or blueberries if you prefer. It's totally customizable!

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a resealable bag, and shake well. When you need a quick, healthy snack, just grab a handful and go!

Tropical tornado mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1/2 cup dried pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup dried shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup dried mango pieces

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a resealable bag, and shake well. When you need a quick, healthy snack, just grab a handful and go!

Sweet treat mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup walnut pieces
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1/2 cup yogourt-covered almonds
  • 1/2 cup yogourt-covered blueberries

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a resealable bag, and shake well. When you need a quick, healthy snack, just grab a handful and go!
