Dust off the grill, it's time for ribs

It's time to dust off the grill and fire it up for these two rib recipes. Both dishes will leave your taste buds craving more.

 2 Mouthwatering rib recipes

Summertime means breaking out the grill, popping a cold one and sitting on the back porch with family. Whenever the weather is good, you can bet that we will be using our grill, whether it be to make juicy burgers, mouthwatering brisket, grilled vegetables or my favorite — succulent ribs. I grew up eating ribs, and I will always eat ribs. There is something about tender meat falling off the bone after a good sear and cook. I'm sharing two awesome recipes to help you start the summer off right.

 2 Mouthwatering rib recipes

Lemongrass pork ribs recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemongrass paste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 2 pounds pork ribs
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the ribs and sesame seeds. Whisk until well combined, and then add the ribs. Cover the bowl with saran wrap, and shake it up to coat the ribs well with the marinade.
  2. Refrigerate for 2 hours, and then remove 30 minutes prior to cooking.
  3. Preheat the grill to 325 degrees F.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill, and let them sear bone side down for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Place the ribs on a large sheet of foil, and wrap until well covered. Place on the upper rack of the grill for 25 to 30 minutes or until the meat is tender. Remove.
  5. Top with sesame seeds.

BBQ ribs recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 pounds pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce for topping

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients except for the ribs and apple juice.
  2. Place the ribs on a flat surface, and coat them well with the rub.
  3. Preheat the grill to 325 degrees F.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill, and let them sear bone side down for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 8 to 10 minutes. Place the ribs on a large sheet of foil, and top with apple juice. Wrap the ribs up well in the foil, and place them on the upper rack of the grill for 25 to 30 minutes or until the meat is tender. Remove.
  5. Brush the tops of the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce, or eat them as is.
