The easier way to make omelets

Frittata in Italian or omelet in English, we can call it whichever we want. The bottom line is that it's the perfect quick egg dish to put together using any ingredients we have on hand. This time I've decided to get fancy and make them into roll-ups.

Ham and cheese egg roll-up recipe

Ham and cheese frittata roll-up recipe

Ham and cheese are probably the easiest ingredients to put together in a roll-up. They also never fail to give excellent results no matter the kind of ham and cheese you use. It's that kind of combination you can always rely on.

Yields 8

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 4-6 slices ham (any ham of your choice), amount depends on the size per slice
  • 6-8 slices cheese (any cheese of your choice), amount depends on the size per slice
  • 1 cooked egg roll-up (from the base recipe)

Directions:

  1. Spread the cream cheese evenly onto the cooked egg.
  2. Top with the ham and then the cheese.
  3. Roll the egg tightly with the help of the plastic wrap.
  4. Tighten the plastic wrap, and leave the roll-up for at least 10 minutes to retain the shape.
  5. Carefully unwrap the plastic, and slice the roll-up with a very sharp knife.
