The holidays are the perfect time to make delicious treats and give them as gifts. Don't rely on store-bought treats when it's easy to make your own. We made three different popcorn mixes that are sure to put a smile on anyone's face.

Double chocolate candy cane popcorn

This semisweet and white chocolate drizzled popcorn gets even better with the addition of crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 6 ounces white chocolate, melted
  • 1/3-1/2 cup crushed candy canes (depending on personal taste)
  • Holiday sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Spread popcorn on a large rimmed baking sheet. You can use 2 baking sheets if it's easier or your sheet pans are not that large.
  2. Drizzle the top of the popcorn with melted semisweet chocolate and white chocolate.
  3. Sprinkle on crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles. Mix together with a spatula. If you have powder-free latex gloves, you can also mix by hand.
  4. Let the chocolate harden and eat off the baking sheet or package in glass jars for an edible gift.

Chocolate peanut butter popcorn

Chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven. Adding chopped Reese's cups makes it even better.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/3 cup powdered peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup quartered miniature peanut butter cups

Directions:

  1. Spread popcorn on large rimmed baking sheet. You can use 2 baking sheets if it's easier or your sheet pans are not that large.
  2. Drizzle the top of the popcorn with melted chocolate.
  3. Sprinkle on powdered peanut butter and mix with a spatula. If you have powder-free latex gloves, you can also mix by hand.
  4. Stir in peanut butter cups.
  5. Let the chocolate harden and eat off the baking sheet or package in glass jars for an edible gift.

Note

Powdered peanut butter can be found at most health food stores and online stores.

Chocolate toffee popcorn

Toffee is crunchy and sweet but even better when mixed with chocolate and popcorn.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/3-1/2 cup toffee bits (depending on personal taste)

Directions:

  1. Spread popcorn on large rimmed baking sheet. You can use 2 baking sheets if it's easier or your sheet pans are not that large.
  2. Drizzle the top of the popcorn with melted chocolate.
  3. Sprinkle on toffee bits and mix with a spatula. If you have powder-free latex gloves, you can also mix by hand.
  4. Let the chocolate harden and eat off the baking sheet or package in glass jars for an edible gift.
