All of these dishes have one delicious thing in common — candy corn. We either added it to the recipe or used it as a beautiful source of inspiration.

This simple fudge is made with just a few ingredients and is rich in flavor. We stirred in a few handfuls of candy corn to bump up the festive level and make the fudge even more delicious.

Yields about 12 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag sugar cookie mix
  • Red food coloring
  • Yellow food coloring

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. In a large bowl of an electric mixer, add sugar cookie mix. Follow package directions to prepare the cookie dough.
  3. Divide the dough into three bowls and dye one bowl yellow and one bowl orange (3 drops yellow and 1 drop red).
  4. We layered our cookies to give off a funky tie-dye look, but you could also lay them out so they look just like candy corn. Directions for both will follow.
  5. For a tie-dye look flatten out your orange dyed dough onto the bottom of a baking dish. Then add the yellow and plain mixture on top. Flattening out each layer before you add more.
  6. Let cool in the refrigerator and cut into little triangles and bake for about 12 minutes on prepared baking sheet, until browned.
  7. For a more traditional candy corn look simply flatten out each dough into a long rectangle and combine colors into a connected row. Let harden in the fridge and then cut out into triangles.
  8. Bake for about 12 minutes lightly golden brown.
