This recipe will make 4 (12 ounce) smoothies.

Avocado and blueberry swirled smoothie recipe -- Avocado smoothie ingredients

Avocado smoothie ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 frozen banana (frozen bananas help thicken the smoothie)
  • 10 ice cubes

Blueberry smoothie ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 frozen bananas (frozen bananas help thicken the smoothie)
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup raw walnuts

Avocado and blueberry swirled smoothie recipe -- directions

Directions: 

  1. Mix each smoothie recipe separately in a blender, making sure they're fairly thick. If they appear too thin, add more frozen bananas or put the smoothie mixtures in the freezer for 30-45 minutes to thicken before layering.
  2. Pour smoothies into squeeze bottles.
  3. Begin layering the smoothies into each glass, alternating colors.
  4. Top with walnuts and enjoy!
