Pumpkin Orange Smoothies

Makes 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15-ounce) can pure pumpkin puree

  • 2 ripe, juicy oranges, peeled, segmented

  • 1 banana, peeled, sliced

  • Generous handful unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of ground cloves

  • Pinch of cayenne

  • Sweetener to taste


Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree. (If smoothie is too thick, add fresh squeezed orange juice or another liquid until desired consistency.)


Note: We like these smoothies chilled. Keep a can of pumpkin in the refrigerator so it's cold. You can also toss in a handful of ice.
