How to make gomasio

Use gomasio to season vegetables and grains.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon sea salt

Directions:

  1. Toast sesame seeds in a large skillet over medium heat until lightly toasted, shaking the pan often. As soon as seeds are fragrant and lightly browned, transfer them to a large plate lined with a paper towel. Let cool.

  2. Add cooled sesame seeds to a mortar and pestle and sprinkle with salt. Grind seeds until coarsely ground.

  3. Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
