From the #MeToo movement to the Patty Jenkins-directed film Wonder Woman that grossed over $800 billion worldwide, women are starting to see things change.
One major way women can see their own stories reflected on the big and small screen is to write their own screenplays and give a voice to strong female characters. Turns out, some of the best films of all time were written by women.
To honor all screenwriters, Friday, Jan. 5 has officially been deemed National Screenwriters Day, and screenwriters of all genders are coming together to celebrate.
