They Didn't Like Her. Now They Like Her.

Model Kate Upton must be a tad bit confused about her relationship with Victoria's Secret. Do they or don't they like the blonde model's looks?

KateUptongreengownVictoria's Secret can't seem to make up their mind about model Kate Upton. After company model scout Sophia Neophitou said Upton wasn't worthy of being a VS Angel, the lingerie manufacturer has backed off of that thinking.

Back in February 2012, Neophitou told the New York Times, "She's like a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy."

Those stinging words didn't faze the two-time Sports Illustrated cover girl too much since she told Access Hollywood at the time, "Well, 'football player's wife'… Gisele's a football player's wife — I'm OK! Gisele's in that category, I'm good."

After that exchange, fans of the Victoria's Secret brand must have been surprised to see the blonde model's photo gracing the back cover of the latest catalog. Have they changed their mind?

People magazine asked for a comment from company reps, but they did not respond.

However, a source close to Upton told the entertainment magazine, “Kate is not thrilled that Victoria’s Secret is using these photos. She is not contracted to work with Victoria’s Secret and was not notified before the images, taken in 2011, were used.”

Perhaps Victoria's Secret has changed their mind after all? Upton has become a part of the pop culture and fashion scene and she's wildly popular among both men and women. Outside of her Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, she is gracing the cover of this month's Vogue and she had a Mercedes Super Bowl commercial running earlier this year.

It really makes us wonder: Does Kate Upton need Victoria's Secret or does Victoria's Secret need Kate Upton?
