In an Evening Standard interview, regarding Justin Bieber’s tardiness at a gig at London's O2 Arena, Jon Bon Jovi called Bieber out for disrespecting his fans. Bon Jovi said, "They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives — or in that kid's case, 80 minutes of their lives. Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won't have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It's really not cool — you're an a**hole. Go to f***in' work!"
We’re sure Beliebers will backlash, but Bon Jovi isn’t calling the Biebs an a**hole, so much as he is telling him not to behave like one. There’s a reason Bon Jovi is still around, and fans appreciate artists who remember how hard they have to work to pay for and attend their concerts! Give us an air-five, Bon Jovi.
Former N’ Sync star Joey Fatone knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight at a young age, so he had a solid frame of reference when he commented on Justin Bieber’s recent rash of seemingly spoiled brat behavior. Fatone told HuffPost Live, "Don't be a douche. That's plain and simple. You get this bug from the celebrity thing, where you're very on top of the world and everyone's 'yessing' you to death, so you're like, 'I can get away with this. I can do that.' Not to say that he might be doing anything wrong — or he might be in the wrong mix of people, in his camp." Can we get an amen?
Damon Lindelof, most famous for being co-creator of Lost, brought home the “yes man” point that Fatone made in a different way. Lindelof went to Twitter and in a hilarious rant tweeted, “Dear Everyone Asking What I Want for My Birthday This Year, THIS EFFING HAT.” He followed it up with another tweet, “Seriously. Do you think everyone in Bieber's entourage is like, "HOLY S*** I LOVE THAT HAT!" Brilliant.
Q: How do you know you’re surrounded by “yes men”?
A: They let you leave the hotel in this hat without saying you look ridiculous.
Drake Bell of Drake and Josh fame seems to be enjoying enraging Beliebers with his snarky tweets. One of his latest (and dare we say funniest?) tweets was, “Just came up with a new game… Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber?!” Drake is referring to a striking similarity in the appearance between the two celebs. Petty? Sure? Kind of immature? Yes. Certain to piss off Bieber and his fans? Absolutely. Funnier than hell? Duh.
Michael Jackson’s beautiful, seemingly well-grounded daughter Paris has even weighed in on JB. In reference to Bieber’s pot use, she was quoted in Mail on Sunday’s event magazine as saying, “I don’t think Justin should do something where he would get caught, so that his young fans aren’t influenced.” While Justin continues to use his young age as an excuse for making mistakes, 15-year-old Paris seems to have a lot more on the ball when commenting on the subject. “Young girls on Twitter were cutting themselves, self-harming to get his attention to get him to stop. Imagine when those little girls are adults and they have kids and they ask, 'Oh Mom, where did you get those scars?' How do they respond? ‘When I was 12 my favorite singer smoked marijuana.’ I think it's very irresponsible of him to do that." Sing it, sister.
Is Justin behaving like a douche? Has he lost touch? Should he reconstruct his management team?
