The Redneck Wedding Was Full Of Surprises
June Shannon and her amour Sugar Bear held a ceremony over the weekend; spies reveal the details.
Just how redneck-y was Mama June Shannon's wedding this weekend to Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson? The male guests were given hunting knives as party favors.
TMZ's "well-placed wedding spies" also revealed that guests were gifted with wine goblets made from mason jars (complete with their screw tops).
Dinner was similarly dressed-down, with the reception dinner consisting of pulled pork sandwiches and ribs, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, rolls and sweet tea.
After dinner, guests were treated to a candy buffet, laden with Sour Patch Kids, Twizzlers, Swedish Fish and Airheads.
The bride, of course, chose a nontraditional dress for the backyard wedding: ruffled camouflage fabric with a hunter's-orange trim, which matched Sugar Bear's orange vest and camo pants.
The blushing bride carried a bouquet of multi-colored roses and sported pink and orange French tips on her nails, which matched daughter Honey Boo Boo's spangled, ruffled wedding cake of a flower girl dress.
TMZ also ran a photo of the wedding invitation, which specified "no cell phones, cameras, or outside video taping," due to the fact that the nuptials were filmed for the next season of TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, according to Us Magazine.
The wedding's final touches came at the end, when both Thompson and Shannon changed out of their wedding clothes and into matching khakis and a camo t-shirts. They left the wedding on a four-wheeler with several massive cans attached to the bumper, and a "Just Married" sign.
Kinda cute, no?
