Intimate Dinner A Deux In LA
The two stars met on the set of X Men: First Class, dated for a couple of years, then split in January. So why are they having a romantic dinner together?
Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are over. Long over, as of reports in January that the pair was finished after a two-year relationship.
But Monday night the two were spotted in romantic Los Angeles eatery The Little Door, eating dinner, just the two of them, reports People.
"They arrived together," said a spy.
"It looked like a date," said another. Are half the waitstaff on People's payroll or what? There weren't any PDAs, but it looked to this anonymous source like a date.
Of course, the pair is now both shooting the X-Men: First Class sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Maybe it was just a friendly bit of co-worker camaraderie? Or maybe they were doing a post-mortem of their relationship?
Only the couple (and whomever they confide in) knows for sure.
Hoult and Lawrence certainly seem well-matched on the face of it. Both are have burgeoning film careers — Hoult in Warm Bodies and Jack the Giant Slayer (okay, maybe not that one so much), Lawrence fresh from her Oscar-winning turn in Silver Linings Playbook, and both dug into the X-Men franchise. What could cloud this picture of a clear blue sky?
Though both Lawrence and Hoult were low-key about their relationship when it was on, Lawrence said last year that Hoult "is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend, too. He's my favorite person and he makes me laugh harder than anybody."
