Ashton Kutcher's Stagecoach Fight
A fun weekend at a country music festival was almost ruined for Ashton Kutcher by an overzealous security guard.
Ashton Kutcher vs. a beefy security guard: Who do you think would win? The world will never know. The Two and a Half Men actor got into a brawl with a bouncer at the Stagecoach country music festival Saturday, but friends of the actor restrained him — so we'll never know what could have been the true outcome.
Here's what went down, according to what witnesses told TMZ: Kutcher was hanging out in the VIP area to watch Nick 13 and Dwight Yoakam perform when a woman stopped by to say hi to the actor. When Kutcher went over to shake her hand the security guard began shoving Kutcher and the woman — and it escalated from there.
Sources told TMZ that Kutcher and the security guard got into a major shoving match and were yelling at each other, but no punches were thrown and the actor's friends restrained him. The guard was demanding that Kutcher be ejected from the venue, but he left on his own. The weekend was not ruined though — Kutcher was back the next day to enjoy the festival, tweeting concert pictures from his spot in the front row.
While witnesses insist the security guard was definitely to blame, Kutcher apparently did not get the authorities involved. Local police were the last to know about the incident after they were contacted by press.
"The first I heard about it was from four local television stations that found out from TMZ," Indio police spokesman Benjamin Guitron told City News Service. "However, if anyone wants to make a police report about this incident we will definitely follow up and investigate it."
Kutcher was spending the weekend celebrating after renewing his Two and a Half Men contract for a reported $700,000 an episode.
