The Baby Was Born Last Month

The ultra-private actor Edward Norton and his fiancée Shauna Robertson are parents to a baby boy born last month. The couple have not made any public announcements, but sources are spilling the details.

EdwardNortonbabyboyEdward Norton is the latest celebrity joining the Hollywood dad list. Us Weekly was the first to report that the Moonrise Kingdom actor became a first-time dad to a baby boy last month.

Norton and his fiancée, Shauna Robertson, have been engaged since 2011. They dated for six years prior to that, but the couple have been pretty mum on both their relationship and the pregnancy.

A source told Us Weekly that the duo was "thrilled and excited for parenthood."

Sources are speaking publicly, but there has been no official word from the actor or his reps even though the baby is about a month old.

While movie-going audiences are familiar with the 43-year-old actor's work in films like American History X and Primal Fear, his bride-to-be has quite an impressive body of work, too. Robertson, a Canadian film producer, has spent much of her career working with director Judd Apatow.

With Apatow, she has worked on films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. She has fit right in with his genre of humor and became just one of the guys on set.

In a 2008 article with the Los Angeles Times, Apatow said of Robertson, "She is the rare woman who always wants to take the joke farther than any man wants to go. All nudity in my films is a result of Shauna pushing me and calling me a wimp. If it wasn't for her I would be making 'Bratz 2.' "

Since there has been no announcement of the pregnancy or birth, there is, of course, no announcement about their bundle of joy's name. The two are keeping their private life exactly that: private.

Congratulations, Edward and Shauna!
