Two Stars, One April Fool's Prank
Both Lindsay Lohan and Sharon Osbourne pulled pranks on the world yesterday, claiming to be pregnant. But no.
Nope, no little Lindsays in the oven, nor lab-spawned little Sharons.
Jaws dropped. Was the world's most famous Hollywood train wreck really about to be a mommy? Would Snooki and Holly Madison soon be Instagramming her breastfeeding advice?
But nay. This morning, Lohan tweeted, "April Fools. Where's everyone's sense of humor?"
Meanwhile, fellow April Fool's pregnancy faker Sharon Osbourne announced her fake pregnancy on The Talk yesterday, telling the audience and her co-stars that she was expecting a baby with husband Ozzy Osbourne.
"I have a surprise for everybody, including my ladies, who I love very much," E! News quotes the star. "I was away for the last two weeks, as you all know. I was actually at a clinic in Germany and I want to share some good news. It's interesting news, but it's very good news."
She went on, "I went to an in vitro fertilization clinic and I found a donor with an egg — a beautiful egg because she's a beautiful lady — and put together with Ozzy's sperm, and it was implanted in me and I have to say... I am now pregnant."
The audience and Osbourne's co-hosts, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, Sheryl Underwood and special guest Carnie Wilson, all hugged Osbourne. Wow! A baby at 60! With a 64-year-old husband! Who would have guessed?
Osbourne accepted hugs from her co-hosts before letting the other shoe drop.
"I have always wanted to get into acting and I just gave an Oscar-winning performance because it was an April Fools' joke and I love you all, goodbye."
The audience and co-hosts alike laughed and applauded — no hard feelings, Sharon Osbourne. Not a bad actress though, really.
