Summit Entertainment has announced that another exciting talent is joining the cast of Divergent!
Based on the 2011 best-seller by Veronica Roth, the film centers on a time when people are divided into groups based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) learns she doesn't belong to any group and is therefore considered a Divergent.
When she uncovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she is forced to defend herself from impending danger.
Jai Courtney, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q. will also appear in the flick.
Neil Burger is slated to direct the project while Vanessa Taylor is developing the screenplay.
Winslet will soon be seen in the drama Labor Day, opposite Josh Brolin and Tobey Maguire. The Jason Reitman-directed film follows a single mother who finds herself embroiled in a convict's escape from prison.
Next year, she'll appear in Quiet Chaos, alongside Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts.
Divergent is set to begin filming in April and will hit theaters on March 21, 2014.
