Another Hollywood baby came into the world on Friday. A baby girl was born to Our America host Lisa Ling and her husband, oncologist Dr. Paul Song.

Baby Jett Ling Song was born in Santa Monica, California, at 1:24 p.m. weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Naturally, Jett's parents are over the moon.

In a statement on Friday, the couple said, "The proud parents are enjoying the first day of parenthood and are looking forward to bringing their daughter home."

It was not an easy road for Ling after she experienced a miscarriage in 2010. The journalist shared her experience and emotional pain with other women after losing the couple's first child.

She created a website called Secret Society of Women as a safe haven where women could freely share their thoughts, not only about miscarriage but other female issues as well.

Ling announced her baby news on Anderson Live back in October by bringing along Jett's sonogram and revealing the sex of her baby. The OWN star was careful throughout her pregnancy because of her prior miscarriage.

She told Access Hollywood Live last fall, "I've just been trying to be very, very cautious about everything... with diet, with exercise."

The good news is that the entire Ling-Song family is happy and healthy.

Welcome to the world, Baby Jett!
