We Don't Recommend Mayer For A Valentine

Just because they're cute (and, in John Mayer's case, happen to write swoon-worthy songs) doesn't mean they're acceptable Valentines. Just check out Mayer's dating history!
Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift

T-Swift doesn't exactly have the greatest track record when it comes to dating, but neither does John. This relationship lasted three months and inspired at least one song.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson

John referred to Jessica as "sexual napalm" (he meant it nicely) and said she was like crack cocaine to him — completely addicting. Still, their relationship ran its course after 10 months.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston

John and Jen lasted for about 11 months. When they first broke up, John dished some pretty rough criticism of her. Later, though, he said he still isn't quite over her.

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jen Love Hewitt

We're still not entirely certain how this happened, but in 2002, Jennifer Love Hewitt and John Mayer dated and seemed quite happy. All good things must come to an end, though.

Minka Kelly

Minka Kelly

Despite rumors that John Mayer dumped Minka so he could hook up with Jennifer Aniston, Mayer insists that he remains good friends with the former Friday Night Lights star.

Katy Perry

Katy Perry

Katy is John's newest high-profile girlfriend. Fresh from her divorce from Russell Brand, Katy and John have been everywhere lately. We love Katy and we love John, but we're not fans of this.

What do you think, ladies? Would you want to hook up with John? Aside from all the strange he's gotten over the years, he's also broken quite a few hearts. Is the risk worth the fun while it lasts?

Yep. I'd do him. Wait, was that the question?

Yeah, they're both great but together I don't know. Not that we've got any bearing or have any right at all to comment on this relationship. Katy seems to have control over the relationship from a public standpoint, and it is most definitely damaging John's image. Guess it depends on what they both value more-their careers or a relationship that could work. Someone who divorces their husband and starts dating again so readily isn't the ideal companion.
