According to the New York Daily News, recording artist Trey Songz was in a scuffle in August that later resulted in his arrest in late September. The victim recently spoke out.
For Donna McIntosh-Inoe, the price for hanging at a strip club VIP table with your husband and Trey Songz was $700 — and a black eye. In Trey Songz's defense, it would have been a little less money if she had picked up the refund he threw at her face.
Songz was reportedly having an album release party at the Club Perfection strip club in Queens, New York. The incident came about when McIntosh-Inoe took a picture of Songz while sitting at the table with him. She claims that despite the fact that other women were taking pictures of him, Songz became irritated with her for snapping one.
"Everyone else was taking a picture," she told the New York Daily News. "The difference for me and the other girls is that they were naked and I had on clothes."
The situation escalated when Songz took her phone and tried to delete the picture. However, Songz was beaten by technology and unable to work McIntosh-Inoe's phone. In a fit of anger, he threw a wad of cash at her. The reason for the cash is unclear. Perhaps, he was trying to buy her phone off her or pay her to delete the picture?
Any worry that Songz may have had about his personal moments being flashed before a wide audience are unfounded, obviously. His release party was in a graffiti'd Queen's strip club. He's only getting press because he pulled a Chris Brown.
McIntosh-Inoe says the wad struck her in the face and caused her to spend a week walking around with a black eye. She went to the police and, more than a month later, on Sept. 20, Songz was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment.
McIntosh-Inoe did not retrieve the wad of cash from the floor of the strip club, so we'll never know just how much money he threw at her. Geez, Trey. Everyone knows when you're in a strip club money isn't thrown, it's "strategically placed."
