From the looks of things, Taylor Swift had a pretty decent birthday. Not only did she release a brand-new video that everyone is already in love with, but she spent the day with her brand-new boyfriend, Harry Styles of One Direction in jolly old England.
The new video documents a pink-haired Swift's time with a bad boy. It starts out in a trashed field — it's either post-apocalyptic or post-music fest — and we're given some overly dramatic dialogue on the result of her time spent with "him." The rest of the video is a series of flashbacks of all the things Swift and her bad boy did together.
From dying her hair pink, to going to raves and visiting tattoo parlors, Taylor Swift's detrimental relationship looks more like your typical post-high school experimentation. But, it's scandalous for Taylor and her band of 13-year-old followers.
Fans are still trying to figure out which bad boy ex-boyfriend Swift is referring to in the video. But, Taylor told MTV that it's not specifically about just one boy. (Suuuuure.)
"I had just gone through an experience that made me write this song about like knowing the second you see someone like, 'Oh, this is going to be interesting. It's going to be dangerous, but look at me going in there anyway," Taylor told Sway, from MTV.
It appears like her trouble-curious days are behind her, though. Taylor Swift went from a straight-laced Kennedy to the adorable boy band member, Harry Styles.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry and Taylor spent her birthday near Harry's home county, Cheshire, in the Lake District (of England, not Michigan). The two fed some swans and let birds land on their arms. They were even nice enough to pose for some pictures with fans. According to the local bakery, Harry even called ahead of time to order 23 cupcakes for his new 23-year-old girlfriend.
The pink-haired version of Swift might have expected more, but our favorite blonde songstress seemed pretty happy with the way her birthday turned out.
Happy birthday, Taylor! Enjoy your cupcakes while we enjoy your new single.
