Pro skateboarder Tony Hawk is a family man, but his latest Instagram post makes us raise our eyebrows.
"This is what happens when my kids fight over video games," Hawk wrote, along with a photo of his kid taped to the wall with another piece over his mouth.
Yes, seriously: One of his four kids is taped to the wall. It was posted as a joke — and his fans seem pretty supportive of the discipline method.
"That's happened to me before..." one commenter wrote.
"Best timeout ever," another added.
Hawk, 37, is like a big kid himself — he's joked about pranking his kids and makes no secret of his love for video games. It might be all fun and games, but non-parents have faced severe consequences for doing similar things.
In 2010, two Nebraska parents were arrested for child abuse after they posted photos of their toddler taped to a wall to a social media site. Another Northern Arizona couple was arrested in December 2011 after they posted pictures of their 2-year-old and 10-month-old taped to the wall.
It might be a popular redneck parenting method — as it's called in various Internet memes — but at least a few people don't think it's funny
Do we think Hawk is abusing his kids? Of course not, but maybe he should think twice before posting this sort of photo to the web.
