Jessica Simpson is set to become a mom times two, according to a new report. So is the rumor true?
Jessica Simpson just spent months torturing herself with a questionable smoothie diet and daily workouts to drop 60 pounds as part of her Weight Watchers deal. All of that work is about to be undone, though: She's reportedly pregnant again.
"It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again," a source told Us Weekly in a new cover story.
Simpson's rep had no comment, but the source is adamant that Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson are set to welcome a baby brother or sister for daughter Maxwell Drew sometime next year.
We're happy for the couple, but we have to wonder what that will do for Simpson's multi-million dollar weight loss deal. It'll be hard to promote the brand — even with her impressive weight loss — if her belly is growing.
And, what about her diet? We're hoping she's going back to eating normally. Weight Watchers is all about eating real food, but Simpson cut corners to quickly drop the weight with a customized "smoothie diet."
According to TMZ, Simpson's chef developed a plan that consisted of multiple fruit smoothies a day, paired with small meals of egg white omelets, chicken staya and shrimp. Nothing too drastic — if anything, Johnson's diet looks more restrictive than the Fashion Star mentor's.
"Motherhood is a dream. It's absolutely amazing," Simpson told Katie Couric in September. "She had her first flight yesterday. She came to New York with me. She did not sleep. She didn't cry. She just wanted to babble. She just started laughing, which is the best noise I've ever heard in my life."
